“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses; you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, and then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life…You give them a piece of you. They didn’t ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn’t your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats at you until you’re hollow and leaves you crying in the darkness. So simple a phrase as ‘maybe we should be just friends’ turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It’s a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.”

Love… I don’t know. I used to think I was really in love before, but now, I realize I wasn’t. It’s a pretty weird feeling or complicated situation. I just go with the flow. lol! You live and you learn!

What you describe so aptly is not love. Common sense should tell you that. When one hears the word Love, it evokes feelings of euphoria, happiness ect.
Further more Love is not a feeling. Love is an action. Far too many persons substitute words/feelings/emotions in the place of love. Love is none of these things. Love is first and foremost and action. A-C-T-I-O-N.
Here is one of the best descriptions of Love I have ever heard.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
What you seem to be describing there is hate and manipulation, which is quite the opposite of love.
I mean, maybe… Ask me what it is.. I would probably not be able to tell you…
but I guess when you think u are or maybe you are and something comes on to oppose what U felt could have kept you so secure, you are left to endure this aftermath…!!
